At only 25 years old, you have designed for some of the most prestigious luxury houses and have received prestigious awards! Tell us about your career!

I was born and spent the first part of my life in Syria. My parents being both artists, I grew up in a very rich cultural environment, through painting, music and poetry.

In 2012 I left Syria to study fashion at the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne in Paris. After getting my master's degree, I was contacted by Hermès for my first job as an assistant designer. It was through this first experience that I learned about the attention to detail and the French savoir-faire.
I then worked at Chloé where the creative process is very thorough and present from the research and vintage purchases to the creation of 3D models.

In 2018 I won the "LVMH for graduates" award and 1 year "design position" at Celine.

A year ago, I decided to go freelance to do art direction and image consulting.

What is your process for creating your collections?

I always start with research (images, vintage, materials, prints), this is my favorite part of the creative process and the foundation of the collection.
The prints and materials are then developed to create the first models and prototypes. From there the fitting, styling, shooting etc...

Are there places, cities around the world where you feel more inspired to create?

Damascus (my Damascus), that of the "belle époque", before the war. It is not necessarily a physical journey, but more a journey in my memories. This city is my first source of inspiration and will accompany me throughout my career and my life.

A fashion encounter that has marked you? And why ?

I would say my group of friends I met in fashion school. They are an infinite source of inspiration for me. It is with them that fashion comes out of the professional context and with whom I share my passion on a daily basis.

Who are your fashion icons?

"70's glamour girls and Arab femme fatales" (Cher and Sherihan)

What place does the woman take in your inspirations and what vision do you want to give?

I grew up in a country where there were no magazines like Vogue or ELLE. My only inspiration was the women I met in the street, women like my mother or grandmother, who played with colours and materials. The vision of the woman I want to give today is naturally inspired by this simplicity that I knew in my childhood.

Your artist of the moment?

Miryam Haddad! Her paintings are made of contradictions: abstract and figurative; eastern and western influences; dark and colourful... I'm a fan

What place do social networks and digital have in your inspirations?

Above all, it is an indispensable working tool today. On the positive side, I would say that it brings the brands much closer to their customers. It has also made our work much more instantaneous.

What is your mantra for the end of the year? To stay motivated no matter what happens in your artistic life.

To go far away, to travel and to get away from Parisian life for a while.

Three words or a short sentence to describe your style?

Multi cultured, colorful, sexy

The key piece to look your best?

No such rules, it's all in the attitude

Do you prefer your hair tied up or loose?

Loose for a chill look, tied up for night out

More imposing or fine jewelry?

Both, fine jewellery for mix and match. Imposing jewellery for a statement.

Your morning routine version of your morning confinement routine?

It depends on where I am and what's going on in my life at the time. So I don't really have a set morning routine, but with my busy life in Paris, I always try to wake up early and take 30 minutes to myself, drink a big glass of water with lemon, stretch, shower and then I do a cleanse, tone, serum, moisturise and use an eye cream. Then I exfoliate twice a week. I also use sunscreen every day, whether it's sunny or not

Your beauty secret?

I don't have any beauty secrets, I try to feel good about myself by doing what I like. I think you feel more beautiful when you are fulfilled. And I try to achieve this feeling by spending as much time as possible with my family, my friends, travelling and working on projects that are like me.

What does D+ for care mean to you? Have you already adopted the brand's nutritional supplements?

It is a young brand that is very inspiring because it is based on well-being. We live in a fast-paced world and we don't always have the opportunity to take the time to look after our bodies as we would like. Brands like D+ For Care help to compensate for this.

Just between us ... Do you recommend D+ for care to your friends or is it your best kept beauty secret?

Yes, it's already done! My best friend and my mother, and they love it

Which D+ For Care woman are you?

The "Freedom Freak": mixing freedom, festivities, nonchalance

And finally ... "Less is more" or "More is better"?Less is more" or "More the better"?

Both! "Less is more" in the way I take life, my friendships and in my way of consuming and "more is the better" because I like to mix colors, patterns, materials!
