In this interview, discover his career, his well-being tips and his good deals!
- Olivia, you were a TV presenter, then you joined INFRAROUGE magazine as editor-in-chief, tell us about your career.
I was a TV host for 15 years in culture and lifestyle. I started on TNT on Direct8 today C8 then I was on France4, Voyage, BFM… I presented a cultural morning show, several theater shows, cultural reception sets, a travel program… then the editor of INFRAROUGE Magazine offered me, 2 and a half years ago, to take over the editor-in-chief of the magazine. I said to myself why not and I embarked on a new adventure.
- A story behind the name “INFRARED”?
INFRAROUGE was created 20 years ago. At the beginning, it was a free night magazine. We talked about celebrities, restaurants and nightclubs. Today, it is a luxury lifestyle magazine that reaches people aged 30-50 who have a high purchasing power. In fact, INFRAROUGE has grown with its readers from 20 years ago.
- What are the topics you discuss there?
INFRAROUGE is the essential free magazine for good deals all over France. We give you all our good addresses for restaurants, travel, beauty and the art of living. We take our readers to discover new places or products with an offbeat tone of course!
- Culture and the art of living have an important place there. What is your relationship with culture?
Very important. I read a lot. I just finished "Ce que le jour doit à la nuit" by Yasmina Khadra which I loved. Otherwise, I go to the theater and the cinema every week so I feel bad that I am deprived of culture. I find it unfair, frustrating and incomprehensible. France is culture. Without culture, life is very dull and gloomy.
- How can we talk about culture when most of the places normally dedicated to it are closed?
Museums are offering a lot of virtual exhibition tours, podcasts are developing a lot, many galleries are staying open and we fortunately have the joy of relearning how to devour books or good series! At the moment, I'm a fan of "Peaky Blinders", a series inspired by a real gang that was active at the end of the 19th century, a treat!
- Who is your current artist?
I have many but right now I like Julien Doré. I met him before the 2nd lockdown for an interview. I listen to his latest album "Aimée" on repeat. I like this romantic and sensitive character committed to the planet and global warming. In short, I share his struggles.
- You always have lots of ideas and new projects, where do your inspirations come from?
I work all the time. I am very curious by nature. I read all the press. I keep myself informed of what is happening in culture, beauty and travel around the world. I am inspired by current events and the women I love: my friends, my sisters and inspiring women I meet like Claire ;)
- How do you manage to combine your life as a journalist and as a mother?
You just have to be organized. I'm lucky to have that in me. When everything is in order, I feel good. My children and my husband are my priority, so I always organize myself so that everything runs smoothly at home. Then, I'm lucky to be teleworking most of the time, so I can work from wherever I want at whatever time I want. Which is a huge luxury.
- What are your wellness tips as a very active woman?
Take time for yourself every day, even 5 minutes, surround yourself with caring people, never feel guilty and pack your house in your bag so you never forget anything.
- Three words or a short sentence to describe yourself?
I think I am a very natural, authentic woman and a potential mother hen.
- D+ for care What does that mean to you?
Be even more beautiful!
- What is your relationship with food supplements?
I have often seen naturopaths so I know what it is like to end up with a list of 10 food supplements to take. I am quite rigorous so I do it but I do not stick to it over time. I do cures every year.
- What’s your best-kept beauty tip? Your morning ritual to stay in shape?
I have very dry skin so I brush my skin in the morning with a body brush! It removes cellulite and my skin is softer and hydrated.
- What makes you feel beautiful?
When my husband looks at me and says I love you!
- In which category of women D+ for care do you recognize yourself?
This one: The natural and life-centric woman: taking care of myself starting from the inside, the best of nature to have the best of me.
